According to a “tweet” sent by Treasury Secretary Mnuchin at 10:00 a.m. this morning, the April 15th, 2020 filing deadline has been extended to July 15th.

Previously, individual and business tax payments due April 15th had been extended to July 15th. Now, Treasury has added filing.

Presumably this means that no extension forms will be necessary until July 15, 2020.

Note: This is the only official release so far today.
